Alex Barone’s team is OffShore World Champion 2017

In the first weekend of October, in the Chioggia waters the Offshore World Championship  was completed, where the Civitavecchia’s Alex Barone pilot in partnership with the Roman Serafino Barlesi managed to climb the highest step of the podium

winning the World Champion title!

After so much effort finally this year, Alex Barone said, we made it! And I am honored to have brought the Italian flag in the highest step and have won the world title. I want to point out that wins are just the end result of an extremely complex teamwork where every single element of the team works with great passion and dedication to achieve this great achievement. Thanks to the expert hands of my team we managed to successfully complete the latest technical modifications that were developed in the waters in front of our harbor during the latest sea trials and that proved to be the winning ones. In addition, our boathouse, fully set up in the “Ulisse Cantieri Navali” (Naval Shipyard Ulysses) within our historic port, is a technology centered offshore ex-XCat class built of high-tech composite materials with state-of-the-art aeronautical and aerospace techniques Titanium, carbon and other composite materials.

The show at Chioggia has been exciting and not only for the many fans of this sport who have seen the world’s strongest crews in the sea at sea. Now back to the base, Alex concludes, we have to prepare for the World Championship X Cat series landing in China and Dubai.
